Choose a short-link platform around the work you actually need: editable destinations, reusable QR codes, useful reports and predictable limits. A shorter address alone is not enough if a printed campaign must stay current. Compare the required workflow and the total cost before purchasing.
List the jobs a link needs to do
Write down your next three campaigns. One might be a product catalogue, another a printed menu and another a social launch. Ask whether each needs a QR code, PDF reader, app-opening route, campaign labels or a branded domain.
A creator sharing occasional links and an agency maintaining client campaigns have different needs. A restaurant might create few new links but update destinations frequently. Count new links and ongoing publications separately; repeated editing is not the same as creating new campaign items.
Check what stays stable
For print, destination editing matters because the QR image cannot be changed once it is on a sign or package. Ask whether editing preserves the short URL and the printed code. For a brochure, ask whether replacing the PDF preserves the publication’s sharing link.
Share to Reach supports destination edits on existing links and QR codes without consuming another new-link allowance. A flipbook can remain attached to its existing short link when its PDF is replaced. Plan-specific publication and replacement limits still apply.
Compare useful reports, not just large counters
A total click count rarely answers an entire business question. Look for date ranges, campaign grouping and a way to distinguish QR scans from other visits. If you need custom reporting, check whether exports or an API are included in the access you intend to buy.
Share to Reach’s active paid subscribers can use a read-only reporting API for retained workspace datasets. Single-link purchases do not include that API. A scan is not an order, and link clicks are not unique customers by default. Choose a tool whose numbers you can explain to the people using them.
Match the plan to actual usage
As of this article’s publication, Share to Reach Free includes two new links per calendar month and one new flipbook using one of those links. Its PDF limit is 20 MB, and each free flipbook includes three PDF replacements. Existing destination edits and QR creation for an existing link do not use another slot.
A pay-per-link item currently costs ₹49 and can use the platform’s link workflow, including a QR code, Smart App Open and a flipbook where applicable. Pro is currently ₹3,400 annually at the displayed offer, with a ₹4,900 regular annual price, 100 new links per month and 50 live flipbooks. Check live pricing and checkout for current terms before purchasing.
Account for growth and access
If a campaign might grow, check the add-on model and whether unused purchased link credits carry forward. If old printed materials remain in circulation, keep track of expiry and publication availability. Archiving a flipbook can free a live slot, but its reader is unavailable while archived.
Use the free allowance to test your actual workflow. Scan a printed sample, replace a test PDF and inspect a report before moving a large campaign. For an agency, organise links by client or campaign so reporting remains useful as the number of items increases.
Make the final decision with a small pilot
A practical pilot should include one mobile destination, one printed QR sample and one update to an existing item. Confirm that a returning user can log in easily on mobile, and check where invoice details, support and profile settings live.
Keep the decision focused on audience experience and measurable work. Avoid assuming an app-opening link can override every social browser, or that a large view counter proves revenue. Start with the smallest plan that meets the pilot, then upgrade when real usage justifies it.
Common questions
Is Free useful for testing the whole workflow?
Yes. Share to Reach Free includes the tools within its two-new-links allowance, with the separate monthly flipbook, PDF-size and replacement limits described on the pricing page.
Should I buy Pro for one campaign link?
Compare the actual need. A single extra item may fit pay per link; recurring creation, multiple live publications or reporting API access may justify an active subscription.
